A large police presence was reported in Hartford County, in the Town of Southington, as investigators seek the public’s assistance in locating the suspect last seen in the area of Rogers Orchards.
Police describe him as being a 31-years-old Hispanic man who is approximately 5-foot-8 and weighing 180 pounds with dark facial hair and possibly a beard.
On Facebook, Rogers Orchards posted about the activity at their Sunnymount Farm on Route 322 - which is currently closed for the season - while noting that its Shuttle Meadow Farm is open for business and all “are safe and sound.”
According to officials, people should remain in their homes, unless it is necessary to leave. If anyone spots the suspect, they have been instructed to call 911 and advised not to approach him.
